Default Will writing services

Has anyone used a will writing service as opposed to a Solicitor?

They seem a lot cheaper on paper!

My dad did. Can't say that this is a recommendation

Because they use a simple pro forma that doesn't take into account your
particular circumstances.

Nor do they contain clauses to deal with complicated situations such as
where a couple die at the same time, or not quite at the same time.

There`s a reason they`re cheaper - they don`t go into anywhere near as much
detail as a proper solicitor will.

By law, a couple can't die at the same time, the eldest died first. But
you're right, you want someone legally qualified and minded rather than
someone with a piece of software and a few hours training drawing up your
will.....
