Limit to the amount of change you can bank? by
John
Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of bags of change
you can take to your bank to pay into your account? If so what is the
limit for your bank?
I got one of those money sorters for christmas. For the last couple of
years I have just been throwing my spare change into a drawer. I
absolutely hate 5p coins, and always considered them worthless, until
I counted just how many of them...

Oop! - what to do with old French money? by
Prof Rollerball
Hi!
I have recently unearthed an envelope containing about 800 francs of
obsolete French money. That was worth around £80 until the cut off date
after the introduction of the euro. I accept that the francs are probably
worth precisely £0 now, but I'm just wondering if there are any channels
still open whereby this cash could be exchanged for euros. Presumably the
total value of euros...

Recommend me a Currency Exchange company by
PokerMan
I want to change a largish amount of Euros (currently in a euro account at my bank) to sterling.
I have spoken to Currency Solutions which I found on the net. They say they are FSA registered and seem to offer a good rate. How safe will it be to send my money to them? Is there anyone better to do the trade with?

SAVE on property Stamp Duty by
kbl
There is a scheme still active for the next financial year that will allow a saving of about 50% of your stamp duty when buying properties over £500K - obviously the larger the value of the property being purchased the more the saving. This scheme, unlike others, does not insist you use a particular solicitor, you can use your own and therefore have that extra peace of mind. No up front fees I...
