Not for know.
I'm a student at an Italian university and my professor asked me for a
brief work on the subject.
The financial controller supervises accounting and financial reporting
within an organization. They may be expected to:
i) Manage the Finance function to ensure accurate management of all
financial data and that accounts are produced consistently within
company policies and timetables
ii) Report into the General Manager and work alongside Area Financial
Controllers to deliver commercial business objectives and financial
targets
iii) Be responsible for the efficient running of the Accounts
Department, as well as Purchasing and IT within the property.
All that could be achieved through review, evaluation, planning and
instigating of appropriate action for the company to achieve its
sales, costs and profitability targets.
(Would that be too brief enough for your professor?)
Yep, but it points me in the right direction.
Thanks.
Classic! Very in depth, Finance Director is the far more exciting role!
